Trichy city is situated at the heart of Tamilnadu. It is the headquarters for both Trichy Customs Commissionerate and Trichy Central Excise & Service Tax Commissionerate. The jurisdiction of Trichy Customs Commissionerate includes the whole State of Tamilnadu (excluding the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Customs(Airport and Air cargo), Chennai Port(Import & export), Chennai and Tuticorin (Custom House) Commissionerate and also includes the Union Territory of Pondicherry excluding Mahe Commune and Yenam Territory. |
